Over the last decade, the cryptocurrency industry has created a tremendous amount of value. From a denomination in billions just years ago, the market has grown to well over $1 trillion in size. How do I send and receive crypto?

In addition to the ability of buying and selling crypto using your mobile CEX.IO crypto payment app, you can also withdraw your funds. To do so, follow these steps:

Tap Wallet at the bottom of the app.
Tap the asset for which you have a balance in your wallet, and wish to withdraw.
Tap More and choose Send funds on the next page.
Enter the amount you wish to withdraw. You’ll see the fiat equivalent in your account's main currency (USD, GBP, or EUR).
Click on the payment method field to enter the recipient address. You can enter the address manually, or by scanning a QR code.
Tap Submit at the bottom of the screen. Enter the two-factor authentication code (2FA) to finalize the transaction.

To receive crypto, go to the Wallet tab and choose the desired currency. Then tap More and choose Add funds. You’ll see your CEX.IO deposit address.

The CEX.IO App also empowers users to participate in crypto staking, though only for select regions where this service is available.

How do I make crypto payments?

The CEX.IO App empowers you to check crypto prices, and also send or receive various cryptocurrencies. To do so, you can choose one from those available on your App main page. In the example of Bitcoin payments, follow these steps:

Tap on Search currency on the Wallet main page, and enter your desired currency (in this example, BTC).
Once your BTC Wallet window opens, you’ll see four buttons: Buy, Convert, Sell, and More (three vertical dots).
Tap on the three vertical dots and a new pop-up window will appear, allowing you to Send funds.
Tap on the payment method field to enter the recipient wallet address.
After entering the desired amount, and pasting the receiving wallet address, tap on Submit.
Once ready, tap Send BTC (in this example) and confirm the transaction with your 2FA code.

How do I withdraw crypto to a debit/credit card?

When looking to transfer crypto from the CEX.IO App to a linked credit/debit card, open the app on your phone and follow the steps below.

In the Wallet window, tap the asset for which you have a balance, and wish to withdraw.
On the following screen, choose Sell.
Next, enter the amount you’d like to send. When doing so, you’ll notice the fiat equivalent in your account's main currency (USD, GBP, or EUR).
Choose a preferred payment option (a linked Visa or Mastercard credit/debit card in this example), and tap Sell BTC.
After choosing your payment option, note the Commission and Fee amounts in the pop-up window.
Once ready, tap Confirm. You’ll need to enter the two-factor authentication code to proceed.

Please note that, by default, you’ll use your account’s main fiat currency — USD in our example.

The CEX.IO Exchange and CEX.IO App are different products built and offered by the CEX.IO group of companies (CEX.IO) and are part of the overall CEX.IO ecosystem.

CEX.IO Exchange is a trading platform where users can send various types of orders and execute them against the CEX.IO orderbook. You can trade in the web terminal, CEX.IO Exchange App, and via the API.

CEX.IO App is designed for users of various experience levels to tap into the opportunities offered by the cryptocurrency markets. Whether it’s digital assets, digital asset instruments, and more, CEX.IO App aims to serve as the mission control center for your individual crypto experience. Do I need to transfer funds from my CEX.IO Exchange account to my CEX.IO App account?

Nope! Your balance of funds will be visible across CEX.IO Exchange and CEX.IO App. Please note, however, that limit orders placed on CEX.IO Exchange will not be visible on CEX.IO App.
